Smartphone Status: Samsung Claiming the Fame?

SO many rumors have been popping from nowhere like gunshots about as much as we heard rumors of Star Wars 7. However, around the same amount of rumors have been dropping like flies. I personally think the big talk is regarding the heated battle between Apple and Samsung. Somehow, HTC has dropped out of the picture. Has Apple been slacking, or is Samsung just pounding Apple into the ground, and does Apple deserve that. All that and more, all in one post.
Lets start with the Samsung Galaxy S5. We know its coming next year by April. The word on the street is that it's coming with 4 Gigabytes of RAM. If so, that's just going to crush Apple. That would make the Galaxy S5 the first smartphone to do so. Samsung has unlocked the key to getting peoples 'attention. Apple seams to be getting peoples' attention, but every time Apple does, Samsung creates a better, smarter device that pretty much makes that once amazing Apple product to look like dust in the dirt.
For example, everybody was amazed when they heard about Apple's newly promised 'iWatch' and what happened because of Apple's lack of modern speed? 'Samsung's Galaxy Gear Smartwatch', that's what. What do you think is taking Apple so long to reach the success that companies like Samsung and LG. Speaking of which, where did LG come from? LG has the 10th best phone on the market, until the crazy sudden appearance if the new LG G2. Which somehow, now claims the top spot on the best-selling smartphone top 10. What?
Remember in like, 2008 when smartphones were at there tip? Apple was in it's glory days? I miss those days. So, does Samsung deserve the fame? Do you think it's crazy forLG to just pop out like that?

Monstercat 015: Outlook was Released Yesterday

I personally am a fan of Daft Punk style mixers like Stephen Walking and Insan3Lik3. One thing that they have in common is that they both are members of the Monstercat Association thing. I really like Monstercat. Monstercat is a group of talented artists that pool together there music specific albums that feature compilations of their music. Because there are over 20 of them all working at it at the same time, there are at least three new albums every year.
Finally, after waiting three months, (long time right?) Monstercat released "Monstercat 015: Outlook" Yesterday. I was super excited. My favorite track on the new album is 'Some Kinda Wizard' by Stephen Walking. I like the whole album though. If your looking to get into some great new music, click here. or via the iTunes Store. I hope this doesn't sound like an Infomercial...      :)

I know that was quick, but I have to get back to listening to Monstercat!

Kevin Smith Has Seen Pictures of Ben Affleck in the New Batman Suit... Lucky!

Kevin Smith, the now luckiest guy in the world, has seen pictures not only of the new suit planned for 'Batman vs. Superman', but he has seen pictures of Ben Affleck in the suit. I still think Ben Affleck is going to be a George Clooney of a Batman, mainly because he ruined Daredevil and I can't see him do this to The Caped Crusader. However, I am interested in the suit. I just hope that Kevin Smith leaks these pictures over to Ray William Johnson or Jimmy Kimmel or someone to through all over the Internet. This is probably never going to happen, and if it does, our friend Mr. Smith will lose his job.
Kevin was able to give us a brief description of what to expect in a podcast. Funny enough, he bleeped himself out for a good while, probably because he said to much regarding the suit. What he did say, was very Kevin Smith of him. Heres part of what he said.

"You haven't seen this costume on film before. For a comic-fan, it's mind-bending... Because every other movie does this Matrix-y type black armor thing... There wasn't a single nipple on this suit."

That sounds pleasing, but I'm not exactly sure if I can trust him. From the tone of his voice, he sounded pretty suspicious. Who knows.

Microsoft Surface 2: Is There a Hope?

Microsoft has been very proud of there new tablet, the Surface 2. The catchphrase for this device is
"Leaner. Meaner."
I don't know about you, but in my opinion, that has got to be the worst catchphrase ever. The actual device, however, is halfway interesting. Oh, sorry, I'm an Apple guy, and I just said that. It actual might have some potential. It is a lot thinner, as the catchphrase suggests. It also has a higher resolution. It comes with Windows 8.1, which to me is crap, but it does look like a half way decent tablet. Some of the accessories and advertisements are pretty lame.

I'm going to say that this tablet has some potential, but the way Microsoft advertises it is pretty bad. Microsoft has a strange way of advertising all of there products. Somehow, making every word in the description is cleaner and more organized.

I. Don't. Know. About. You. But. I. Find. It. Kind. Of. Annoying. Especially. If. You. Are. The. One. Typing. This. Whole. Thing. Out. Hey. At. Least. It's. Not. Question. Marks. Or. Parentheses. LOL.

In conclusion, I do like this tablet, in some ways, and I think it has some potential. I don't think they are even close to where Apple is these days. However, with Apple's lowering quality percentage rate, within a year, Microsoft could catch up. But now that the iPad Air came out, Microsoft might be screwed.

Thanks. For. Reading.

'Thor; The Dark World' Review & Spoilers Discussion: More Than Satisfied

***This Movie Review Contains Major Spoilers. The Whole Movie IS Basically A Giant Spoiler. BEWARE***

'Thor: The Dark World pounds Iron Man 3 into the ground. This is how Phase 2 of the M.C.U. (Marvel Cinematic Universe) should have started. It's easy to consider it Marvel's 'Man of Steel'. The Movie is smart, yet dark, while remaining funny and clever. I was really pleased with how the movie turned out. Christopher Eccleston was the perfect Malekith. The Dark Elves make What's-his-name and the frost giant look like wimps. I'm just getting started. It may be hard to realize this, considering your just reading a review, but I am trying to contain everything that's stirring around in my brain.
This may seem strange, but I am actually going to start with the end credit scene. I didn't stay for the very end, so i don't know what if there was an end credit scene or what it was. However, I saw the mid-credit scene. Which left me very pleased and my brain screaming.
For starters, The Collector, who happens to be one of the villains in 2014's 'Guardians of the Galaxy', makes an appearance. My guess is that he works for Thanos, but I'm not going there yet. The Collector was trusted by Lady Sif and Volstagg to keep one of the Infinity stones safe. The Infinity stone happens to be the Aether. No, not the Aether mod as in Minecraft, but the darkness consumed by Malekith, making him the gruesome dark figure that he is near the end of the film. The Aether also possesses Jane Foster for a portion of the movie. When The Collector calls the Aether "An Infinity Stone", he is referencing to the Infinity Gems from the Infinity Gauntlet Marvel Comics series. There are six gems/stones, as claimed by The Collector. The Stones consist of the following,

  • Soul Gem
  • Power Gem
  • Time Gem
  • Space Gem
  • Reality Gem
  • Mind Gem
Also, The Tesseract, (from The Avengers) is an Infinity Gem. I am unsure which one is which, But my guess is that the Aether is the Soul Gem and the Tesseract is the Space Gem. Once again, I am not entirely sure. If you've read what is now the five out of six issues of Marvel's Infinity, this probably makes a lot of sense right now.
Next topic, trash. Yep, trash. In pretty much every science fiction movie I watch these days, the super-villain and/or the superhero trashes some really large city. In Man of Steel it's Metropolis, in Captain America: The First Avenger, it's Berlin & New York. In The Avengers, it's New York again. Thor: The Dark World is another '&'. Malekith and Thor ruin Asgard and London. Most of the property damages in Asgard were Malekith's fault, but Thor added to the mess.
Another thing to point out, under the funny category is Chris Evans' cameo as Captain America. The scene was pretty funny even without Cap. Captain America made it better. Thor broke out Loki in order to help defeat Malekith. Loki was bugging the crap out of Thor when they were pretty much walking to treason. Loki was shape-shifting into random people. He later said, "How about one of your new friends?" and then he turned into Captain America. Just the things he was saying were funny. It was great to see Captain America as Captain America. Not like Iron Man 3 where Bruce Banner was Bruce Banner.
Apperently, Loki Dies in this movie, but in the end yo can see that he faked his death. He even turned into Odin and talked to Thor. Which I'm guessing will be a big Mistake in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. The question is, where is the real Odin? Thor 3?
Loki wasn't the only one who died. Queen Frigga was killed by one of Malekith's monsters, Kurse. She's actually dead. But I must say, she put up a really good fight against Malekith. She had more hand-to-hand combat skills than Thor. She even pinned him down and held a sword to his throat for a good 10 seconds. I'm sure all the women in the audience were proud.
In conclusion, Thor: The Dark World was extremely satisfying and so much better than Iron Man 3. This time, the main villain was a real villain. Not some German actor. I was really happy with how it turned out. I had some hope for Kenneth I-Can't-Pronounce-His-Last-Name-Or-Type-It's return as the the director, but I actually like Alan Taylor much better. That wasn't normal for Whatever his name is to direct a superhero movie. I am really excited to see how it links together the rest of the Phase 2 movies. The Collector is going to be a villain in Guardian of the Galaxy, reprised by Benicio del Toro. Along with Thanos, the other villain, who will also be the "mini-villain" In The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the vmain villain will be Ultron. Not that hard. Ultron will be played be James Spader. Not sure if its a spoiler but, If Thanos dies in Guardians of the Galaxy, he wouldn't be an active villain in The Avengers Age of Ultron. Though he could be one of those "in the shadows" type of guys like he was in The Avengers. Like I said, The Collector probably works for Thanos. I do want to see Corvus Glaive return. Maybe even more of the Black Order/The Cull Obsidian. Maybe, Proxima Midnight, or Ebony Maw? I don't know. This is all pretty distant.
Overall, Thor The Dark World was really good and entertaining. I give it 10.8, I would give it lower but some of those extra points are for making up for Iron Man 3's lack of any logical sense. Subtract that and I give it a 9.6

"Marvel's Man of Steel, Epic!"

Review. Logitech MK320 Wireless Combo

Today I'm going to review a new piece of technology that recently got my hands on. I know have the Logitech m215 wireless mouse and the Logitech k330 Wireless keyboard. Even though I have a Mac now, it works just fine. I have been experimenting with all the capabilities that the new keyboard has to offer. Mice don't take very long to adjust to. Funny enough, I already have a Logitech m325 wireless mouse. So I thought maybe one day I could compare them. The k330 keyboard is great. It's one of those keyboards that sounds smooth and quite when you type. It has several new keys, or at least new to me, because I had a really old wired Dell keyboard up until now. It has 2 backspace keys, one for the main part of the keyboard and one for the number pad. My old keyboard didn't have any audio or video controls. I knew before that a lot of keyboards had those now. You can literally stop, fast forward, or go back to any part of your movie or video right from your keyboard.
Since this keyboard was not design for MAc, it only has the F1-12  keys. On a Mac, the windows key is the Command key. I am really happy with all that this keyboard has to offer.

On to the Mouse! The Logitech m215 is a really nice, high quality mouse that I will enjoy using. I now have two wireless mice, and I found that each one specializes in different things. the m215, the mouse that came with this combo, is a very good gaming mouse. I had a lot of fun experimenting with Minecraft. Like I said, it was a lot of fun. I think I've ran out of things to say. I am speechless. These pieces of equipment are very good in there own ways.
I'm not quite sure how the unifying receiver works on this one. It came with two USB thingies. one of them controls both the mouse and the keyboard, but then there's this other one, that's bigger, that I have no idea what  it does. It could just be an extension, I'm not entirely sure. It could actually be a flash drive. All though, I think it  would be labeled. I have yet to experiment what it does. There were like, three sentences for the mouse, and three for the keyboard, they didn't say anything about the unifying receiver. Probably because they had to say the same thing in like five other different languages and they got too lazy and tried to fit all five languages on one sheet of paper. I don't know. If you do know, I would really appreciate it if you know, if you would comment saying what it does. I'll eventually figure it out.
So, to wrap things up, I would like to say that both the mouse and the keyboard are really good pieces of technology, and I can't wait to see what everything does.
Before I finish this post, I want to say Happy Halloween. If I don't make a whole post about it, than here it is now. Get really high on candy, then you can go click cookies on cookie clicker and probably get carpal tunnel.

Thanks for reading.
