Cubed: July 29th! (Late)

Unfortunately, do to unexpected trouble with my computer, I am no longer able to download mods. Which kind of sucks. Hopefully I will be able to regain that extension soon. I can still play Minecraft, I still have my Hawkeye skin, and I still have connection to servers an what not. I am just "modless" at the moment.
Anyway, how about some positive talk.
Before I get started. I want to apologize for the huge gaps between the picturesand the texts. There is some kind of bug in the post-editing code or something.
Like usual, I start out with a skin. Usually something new on the skindex or something I found creative, but not creative mode (terrible Minecraft jokes. Ignore)! This time, I decided to do something different. I decided to do a YouTuber skin. You may know him, you might not, but since he's in between unknown and famous om the popularity charts, I decided that maybe this vould get him some more recognition.
Even though you already saw the skin and I'm treating this like a video where you haven't seen
 anything yet. Please welcome, BASHUR!!!!

I'm not a huge fan of Bashur, I don't hate him. I just hardly watch his videos. I thought this was a unique skin. Obviously, this dude's a melon... wearing 3D glasses... covered in grape-stained clothes...GOOD JOB BASHUR!

The next thing here is Starship U.S.S Enterprise from Star Trek, in MINECRAFT!

Like I said, sorry for the giant gaps. Anyway, this is kind of an old picture. From Beta 1.8.1 This still is a super awesome creation. Unfortunately, this doesn't look like it has any interior significance. I still think this is awesome. How muck can you expect from this user? It has a docking station, and looks pretty accurate to the Enterprise from the movies and TV!

Virus City! Updates: 7.28.13

What's up guys. I recently ran 4 systems to make my computer run faster. First of all, there were a few problems, most of them were viruses. Okay, all of them were viruses. And by a few I mean 169. Yeah, I thought I was tech savvy but that numbers proves otherwise. I had 169 Viruses running through my computer. Funny enough, that effected my Minecraft. I really boosted my FPS. My Quicktime media player, that also had a virus, so now I have a bunch of fixed dealios with that. So I guess you could say that my computer was a small community for viruses.
Pretty NUTS!

Review: iHome iHM60LY 3.5mm Aux Portable Speaker

Today I'm review something new. I've never reviewed a piece of media or technology before on this blog. So I decided to try. This is an iHome Speaker that I've had for about 8 months now. It's probably the best portable speaker that you will ever get. It can fit right in your briefcase or pocket, and makes amazingly clear noise. This is starting to sound like an infomercial so I'll slow down. The iHM60LY 3.5mm Aux Portable Speaker is a great speaker that works really well and is very convenient. The device has many uses, and can make your amateur home movie experience boost to the next level. It works great for both music and movies. In other words, all types of media. For example, you can connect multiple speakers together to really make some noise. You can also connect your headphones or whatever to your iHome raising the volume max. On any Apple product, it raises the max volume by at least 6 bars. The speaker can be charged while in use, so you don't need to wait for your device to be charged up. It's definitely one of the loudest speakers I've ever experienced. I always take this with me on vacations. It's really light too. It probably looks light, but I consider that a benefit because some people use those surround sound speakers that are giant chord messes on the floor. just 3 of these is pretty much equivalent to a movie theater. Okay not really, but close. They are also really not all that expensive. I got mine for $20 at Walmart. Go out and bye it, use it, and never regret it! The last thing awesome about this speaker is that a small red light will go on when your speaker isn't charged. The light will be blue when it is in use or when it is charged. Speaking of batteries, it has great battery life. You can watch 3 or for movies before you neen to connect it to a device for charging. But yeah, cou can connect it to your laptop or iPad or anything and it will automatically be charging.

Tip: Watch J.J. Abrams' Star Trek with 2 of these.

Like almost all iHome speakers, they connect to your phones and tablets and iPods and stuff like that. Like you couldn't tell by the text features that you could. Overall, this is a great product, I almost consider this perfect. I can't find anything wrong with it.

Thanks for reading hopefully it wasn't written like an infomercial.

Cubed: July 22nd!

Welcome back to Monday's Cubed! I decided, since I love writing Cubed during the week, I would keep doing it after Summer ends. With Summer about half-way over, I wasn't happy that Cubed was half way over. So CUBED WILL CONTINUE!!

The First thing today is another skin. On the skindex it's called Not_a_Creeper. I'm not sure that's true...

†hi is a really funny skins. It's not very creative but it's original and humorous. People always get ripped if they have the Steve skin. This is funny because It's pretty much a creeper pretending to be Steve. That's pretty neat. You can tell it's a disguise because of the strap along the head. Thus it's a mask. I've seen some masks. But they're not as creative. Like a Steve Skin with a Beast Boy mask. If you haven't been playingMinecraft for a long time you probably wouldn't know who Beast boy was. Was this weird character that randomly spawned n your single-player worlds. Kind of like Herobrine. Also like Herobrine, Beast Boy was removed from Minecraft.

The Next thing is a painting of An Iron Golem. While you look at this picture you may find yourself feeling sad for Iron Golems. Considering well, they don't get they're own spawn egg, are always being forced to kill the stuff around it, and are often left in very confined gardens.
This is a great picture. It really captures the feel what an Iron Golem's life really is. I can't just post this amazing image without credit to the creator.
All rights go to Tom Harrison. He's done some awesome Minecraft Fan-Art and has even been featured at Minecon. You can check out his wordpress website here. I don't actually know him but I do know that his work is truly Amazing. He's drawn ships and aliens and of course, Minecraft. Does anyone else want to shut down this internet launcher, go open your Minecraft launcher, and go use a pumpkin and 4 iron blocks to create your own Iron Golem. This reminds me, before I had my 2 horses, Aztec and Joey, I made my own Iron Golem and named him Wilson. He died because
1. He was attacked by at least 7 creepers,
2. he was trapped in a 3x3 glass container.

yeah, the Glass and Creepers aren't a good combo. Creepers usually win.

That's all for this week. I'll do my best to have one posted next Monday. Maybe I can get some 1.6 stuff in there. Maybe. Thanks for reading!

Stan Lee Says a Silver Surfer movie will EVENTUALLY Happen

Comic Book Legend Stan Lee has been working at Marvel for a really long time now. Over that period of time, he's Invented Spider-Man, most of The Avengers, and hundreds of they're villains. Not even Frank Millar can say that. He's had cameos in almost all of the Marvel movies, written hundreds of Comics, and managed to become the most successful comic book writer ever. He's had a say or two for many marvel movies. But this time, the case is The Silver Surfer, we don't exactly know what he's got up his sleeve. He said a Silver Surfer movie will happen, eventually. Silver Surfer is part of the Fantastic Four Franchise, so the rights would go to 21st Century Fox

Zack Snyder announced a Superman/Batman team-up film at 2013 Comic-Con!

Zack Snyder announced a Superman/Batman team-up film at 2013 Comic-Con! That's all I need to say, now go poop yourself or run around like a wild idiot nerd!

Open Discussion #10: Batman/Superman Movie: Why Should it Happen?

The first Superman / Batman comic was very successful. I wonder if a movie would also be successful? Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy was very successful, so was Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. It's obvious that many people like Superman and Batman. Would it just be crazy to have our two favorite superhero team-up? It would probably be the best DC team up movie since Watchmen. Unfortunately no plans are made for that to happen. But we can all dream! So, for this post, I am going to do a bunch of Batman / Superman movie talk. First of all, who would direct? Zack Snyder did an amazing job of directing Man of Steel, but I think that for either Man of Steel 2, The Justice League, or Batman / Superman, I think there should be someone new. I'm sure that Christopher Nolan would do a great job of bringing Batman and Superman together on the big screen. I also think that Tom Welling could do the same. After all, he has played Superman for 10 years in the show Smallville and has directed part of the 10th season.
Does anyone agree. I think that wraps up the 10th Open Discussion. I've noticed that this is only number ten when I've been doing this blog for 7 months. I hope to get back on track soon.

:)

Sorry it's late.

Back from Vacation, Cubed Still Happening and Stuffs - Updates 7.18.13

What'd up dudes, Welcome me back. I would've welcomed you back, but I'm the one who was gone. If you Didn't know, I've been on vacation for the last week and a half. I managed to get internet connection so I wan't completely screwed. I sat down and wrote a review that was published on Friday, I also posted the Backed up Post I wrote before I left.
I had a great vacation. I relaxed a lot. I finished a book and am currently reading another. After I finished Marvel Civil War by Stuart Moore, I decided to read Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card. I figured that since the Ender's Game Movie was coming out, I might read the Parallel book. Parallel meaning same story told from a different character's perspective. I couldn't find Ender's Game so Shadow would Have to do. After all, The used book store I got it at was small. That was the book that I got on vacation. Civil War was from my library. I also got two other library books thinking I could read all of them. NOPE! Not Possible.

In other news. I know it's been 2 weeks since a Cubed Post. Thee will be one this week. Just wanted to point that out. Monday...

Anyways, I'm Back.

Review: Marvel's Civil War by Stuart Moore

This isn't a back up post. I actually Just Finished Marvel's Civil War by Stuart Moore. You May know that I'm on vacation right know and I've been doing a lot of reading. This book was a very "blogsworthy" novel, it especially fits the theme of this blog. So I decided to review it.

You may have heard of Civil War by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven. It was a great comic mini-series. It changed The Marvel Universe completely. It sold over 250,000 copies per issue. Of course, when something gets that popular, someone else has to do it to try and to get popular. That's Not the case here. Civil War by Stuart Moore is a Novel Adaption of the great work by Millar and McNiven. The Book is about 300 pages long and has about 30 chapters.

In the story, the age of heroes has been dying.   J. Jonah Jameson, the editor of the Daily Bugle has issued a forced registration of all the Heroes and their powers. Iron Man thinks it's a bad idea, but yet necessary step, while Captain America thinks its a hideous assault on America's Freedom. And So comes a Civil War.  Captain America and His Team vs. Iron Man and His team. All of the Avengers, some Guardians of the Galaxy, stand alone heroes, and even Villains are forced to take sides. The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, everyone. The X-Men are pretty much trapped inside the walls of their own school. The Thunderbolts think that they're their own team. The world of Evil brakes loose. And the battleground: America!

Overall this is a great book. The pacing is good. There's some Mild Language like there was in the comics. Not like how language ruined the Transformers Franchise. some of the ending is a bit questionable. But this is still an interesting, fun, edge of your seat book.
(I know that sounds like a movie, but I really felt that way). I would not recommend this book for Marvel newbies or big fans of The classic Marvel Masterworks.       3.5 Stars!
I want to do one of those DVD Cover style quotes Like I did for Man of Steel.

"Epic! Stuart Moore is an Amazing Storyteller!"

Justice League Dark Moving Forward, Guillermo del Toro Explains Some Hero Origins for the Movie

Pacific Rim Director Guillermo del Toro has been jabbering about Justice League Dark movie. There isn't a release date for the movie yet because Warner Bros., the studio that owns the rights to all DC Films and TV Series (excluding Smallville Seasons 6-10). He recently announced during an interview with Screenrant that he will be sticking to the mythology of the characters.

“Monsters! More monsters. When I was following the DC comics in my youth, my favorites were Swamp Thing, [Etrigan the] Demon, Deadman … My earliest love was Constantine, and I love Zatanna, Destiny, the whole mythology. So we’re working on a really rich mythological environment.”

The Film's Script is in moderation right now. But I trust Guillermo del Toro's script because look how awesome The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey turned out, and I'm interested to see how the script will deliver in the next two movies. I am still concerned about the whole "Justice League Dark before Justice League" thing. I mean, The Justice League Dark is a whole lot more possible than an original Justice League movie. One of the things that makes The Justice League Dark, well, dark is that their superpowers are supernatural, and if there's one thing I learned from the special features of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, it's that science-based powers are friggin' hard to deliver!
With Christian Bale "out" for the role of Batman in Justice League, The movie is pretty much doomed. It could have given Bale another chance to drop the dorky voice that sounds like Cookie Monster on Steroids. Plus, he's like the coolest Bruce Wayne ever! You can't make a Justice League Movie without Green Lantern, and Ryan Reynolds probably out because no one liked him in Green Lantern. It could give him a second chance.
The Only reason DC's going for this is because of Marvel's The Avengers. Justice League will be at the same place it is today by the time The Avengers 3 is out on DVD (If DVD even exists by then.)! That's why Justice League Dark is a very good choice. Critics might not like it but I personally think it's a smart choice. It could be the best "Second-Chance" movie of the decade. It could be a big success. Just in the last 7 or 8 years DC's started blowing up. Marvel's been at it for quite a while. Usually with almost never-ending success. DC, has been finite success-wise. Just until Batman Begins. Anyway, Good work del Toro, good work DC, I have to get out of here.

Hey before I finish typing I want to say that not as much content will be posted for the this week and a half. Not that big of a deal for me and I don't think it is for you either. I'm gone on vacation so, there might not be a review, but it's alright. This is a backed up post from last week so I don't know. I can't predict the Future. I'm not Marvel Girl. I'm not a Girl at all thank you very much.

Minecraft Adventure: Joey and Aztec

It's been so long since I've done a Minecraft Adventure. I've been so busy. It's on the schedule so I want to get back on track with these. This time, we have horses. as you know, 1.6.1 came out today, check it out if you play Minecraft. I decided to go on a search for some horses to call mine. I got really lucky by finding 2. 1 was a grey/black horse, (not a donkey) and the other was a dark brown. I have mentioned it before but I live in a desert temple. I originally spawn inside a desert temple that was right in the middle of three biomes, desert, winter, and plains. I gathered the resources from the temple and realised that my home was built for me. Several modifications were needed, but now my house is a super desert temple. Back to what I was saying. 2 horses, black and brown. The brown one I named Joey and the second one I named Aztec. I had several saddles from dungeons and armor from creative mode (sort of cheating). I gave Joey Diamond armor, making him a War Horse. Aztec I gave gold armor just because it looked cool, even though it won't last long. Since my home is so big, I now let my horses roam free around my mega-temple. It may seem feminine of me but at least they don't poop.

Thanks for reading. Comment if you want More Minecraft Adventures!
