Cubed: July 29th! (Late)

Unfortunately, do to unexpected trouble with my computer, I am no longer able to download mods. Which kind of sucks. Hopefully I will be able to regain that extension soon. I can still play Minecraft, I still have my Hawkeye skin, and I still have connection to servers an what not. I am just "modless" at the moment.
Anyway, how about some positive talk.
Before I get started. I want to apologize for the huge gaps between the picturesand the texts. There is some kind of bug in the post-editing code or something.
Like usual, I start out with a skin. Usually something new on the skindex or something I found creative, but not creative mode (terrible Minecraft jokes. Ignore)! This time, I decided to do something different. I decided to do a YouTuber skin. You may know him, you might not, but since he's in between unknown and famous om the popularity charts, I decided that maybe this vould get him some more recognition.
Even though you already saw the skin and I'm treating this like a video where you haven't seen
 anything yet. Please welcome, BASHUR!!!!

I'm not a huge fan of Bashur, I don't hate him. I just hardly watch his videos. I thought this was a unique skin. Obviously, this dude's a melon... wearing 3D glasses... covered in grape-stained clothes...GOOD JOB BASHUR!

The next thing here is Starship U.S.S Enterprise from Star Trek, in MINECRAFT!

Like I said, sorry for the giant gaps. Anyway, this is kind of an old picture. From Beta 1.8.1 This still is a super awesome creation. Unfortunately, this doesn't look like it has any interior significance. I still think this is awesome. How muck can you expect from this user? It has a docking station, and looks pretty accurate to the Enterprise from the movies and TV!

Cubed: July 22nd!

Welcome back to Monday's Cubed! I decided, since I love writing Cubed during the week, I would keep doing it after Summer ends. With Summer about half-way over, I wasn't happy that Cubed was half way over. So CUBED WILL CONTINUE!!

The First thing today is another skin. On the skindex it's called Not_a_Creeper. I'm not sure that's true...

†hi is a really funny skins. It's not very creative but it's original and humorous. People always get ripped if they have the Steve skin. This is funny because It's pretty much a creeper pretending to be Steve. That's pretty neat. You can tell it's a disguise because of the strap along the head. Thus it's a mask. I've seen some masks. But they're not as creative. Like a Steve Skin with a Beast Boy mask. If you haven't been playingMinecraft for a long time you probably wouldn't know who Beast boy was. Was this weird character that randomly spawned n your single-player worlds. Kind of like Herobrine. Also like Herobrine, Beast Boy was removed from Minecraft.

The Next thing is a painting of An Iron Golem. While you look at this picture you may find yourself feeling sad for Iron Golems. Considering well, they don't get they're own spawn egg, are always being forced to kill the stuff around it, and are often left in very confined gardens.
This is a great picture. It really captures the feel what an Iron Golem's life really is. I can't just post this amazing image without credit to the creator.
All rights go to Tom Harrison. He's done some awesome Minecraft Fan-Art and has even been featured at Minecon. You can check out his wordpress website here. I don't actually know him but I do know that his work is truly Amazing. He's drawn ships and aliens and of course, Minecraft. Does anyone else want to shut down this internet launcher, go open your Minecraft launcher, and go use a pumpkin and 4 iron blocks to create your own Iron Golem. This reminds me, before I had my 2 horses, Aztec and Joey, I made my own Iron Golem and named him Wilson. He died because
1. He was attacked by at least 7 creepers,
2. he was trapped in a 3x3 glass container.

yeah, the Glass and Creepers aren't a good combo. Creepers usually win.

That's all for this week. I'll do my best to have one posted next Monday. Maybe I can get some 1.6 stuff in there. Maybe. Thanks for reading!

Cubed: July 1st!

June is finished, July is here!
1.5.2 is finished, 1.6 is here!

Yes. Today Minecraft 1.6 is released to the public. The new update features leads, hay, Coal Blocks, Mules, Donkeys, Foals, and of course, HORSES!
Finally horses. I would have expected it earlier on, maybe even as early as Beta 1.7 But It's finally here. As epic as it is, I won't be reviewing any 1.6-related things today. That comes later, when everyone adjusts to 1.6

The first thing to be discussed today is a new skin. It's Called EnderBrine.

I have been seeing this skin all over servers and hangouts. Even though it's more Herobrine that Enderman, it's still pretty cool. Can Someone PLEASE add him to 1.7 or something!?!

Next up we have Fan Art of a zombie by Dmitry Burmak

I can tell that he put a lot of work into this either by hand or digitally. It really gives a new experience to staying up at night in Minecraft. Especially because the image has multiple zombies. I can almost see what looks like a whole army of zombies.
Great Work Dmitry, I won't be going hunting anymore. I'll stick to the mob trap!

Last but certainly not least is a Giant alien Mothership from Independence Day.
I thought I'd choose this because It's the 4th of July this Thursday for those of you that live in the United states.

This is a creation by Crazy Zoo. All credit goes to him/her. It looks pretty darn awesome.
Well that's all for now, see you guys In two weeks. I'm on vacation next week. I have a post backed up if I get internet service.

Cubed: June 17th!

Welcome to the third installment on Cubed. This Series of posts is pretty much Minecraft Geekery HQ!

To Start of the third week of Cubed, I want to get all the kids reading ready for school again, yes, I'm cruel.
This work of blocks is by AdventureWanted from deviantart.com. As you probably already see, it's a  Middle School or High School in Minecraft. I wouldn't want to go to that school because It looks like it would take a while to get to! ;-D
Even though you can't see much from the inside, (if there is anything on the inside) it still looks like AdventureWanted put a lot of time and effort into creating this. This is something that, obviously, can only be achieved in Creative Mode. Survival Mode would be unrealistic. All those Quartz and Iron Blocks; CREATIVE MODE! Not like it matters, but this is still a real masterpiece, if you're ready for school again. The basketball court is impressive by itself. It would take me a few hours to perfect the symmetry and space. Yeah, I'm more of a survival kind of guy. And if you look closely, you can see a parking lot in the back!

The Next thing, I can't explain. This may be kind of stupid of me, but I think I'll just let you check it out.

It's a server! omegarealm.com
It's not mine so I'm not advertising!

Cubed: June 10th!

Welcome back to another awesome post in the Cubed summer series. All I do is tell you about some pretty cool stuff I've noticed on the Minecraft Forums, Links, things sent to me and other stuff. To start of the second Cubed post, how about another cool skin. Last week I showed you the skin that my friend Ethan came up with, and how it's getting pretty popular, but now I'm going to show you something that is extremely popular, in almost every Hunger Games I watch and/or play, there's some guy with this skin. You've probably seen it too. It's called Rubik's Cube Man. Especially if you've played a Hunger Games, it may be hard to see all the detail, even though there isn't much detail. I find it cool, I almost thought about changing my skin to that (I currently use a Hawkeye skin from the Avengers) before I made a Zombie Steve. As you can see, and you probably already have seen, there isn't much to see, but I give it points for being creative. Pretty much all it is is a guy in a tuxedo with a Rubik's Cube head. This is something that you could only get away with in Minecraft. In any other game where you can change your skin, this would look retarded. It's kind of like creative mode. you can fall from above the clouds without a parachute all the way to miles under the ground without a scratch, once again, getting up there is impossible in just about every other game, plus the falling... Good work Notch! No really, nice job Notch, that's pretty awesome. I also like on the skin that part of it is clear. With that power, you go go headless, or even invisible completely. I don't even think that is possible. Oh, and it may look like he has a huge belt on that sticks out wherever he goes, but no. The streaks of brown are actually his hands. That's why I thinks the original creator should have chosen a different color for the belt. Other than that, This skin is pretty Awesome. Wow, look how much you just read about one Minecraft Skin. Proof that you actually care about Minecraft! (Like anyone cool).

This next thing is another work of fan art. Made by schiz00phrenia. It's called The Enderman. It's his or her re-creation of an enderman. I think that it looks really good. It makes Minecraft a little more scary. "Crap, I wouldn't want to run into one of those guys!"
Overall, I think that it's really neat. I can tell just be looking at it that the artist, shiz00phrenia, put a lot of work into this, and look at  how it turned out! The colors are great, the shape and design are great. On the website I found it on, the user posted some information about the painting.

Hello there!
This is my third painting, representing my fav. mob in minecraft: Enderman!

Talking about the shape, i really stylized him. I followed my own view, this is why it looks like an alien or something, but it is truly based on Enderman.

Made with acrylic paint on an A4 paper.

Hope you like it!

The funny thing is that the website classified it in Macabre/Horror I never thought of Minecraft or Endermen as Macabre-ish things/beings/whatever, until I saw this picture. And isn't the Macabre a dance? I'd love to see an enderman dance. Almost as much as I want a hug from Slender Man!

I know this has only been two items, but I put a lot more time and effort into this post than I did the last. Plus, I think these are double the quality of the last three.

:)

Cubed: June 3rd!

Welcome to the first post on Cubed, the new series of posts where I go over some of the coolest things in the world of Minecraft! To kick of the summer, lets start off with a cool new skin that my friend Ethan came up with. It's actually pretty popular now! I've been playing on a few different servers recently and these guys keep popping up! Ethan named it the Enderman Hunter. It looks pretty sweet, I know he put a lot of time into this, and it turned out pretty cool. The colors look great, the design is great, I think that Ethan's idea was a success. Go ahead and comment if you've seen anyone with this skin on the servers you play on. Other than that, I don't know what browser he used to make this, but if you can find it, maybe I'll see you!

                                                 :-)

The Next awesome thing I NEED to show you guys is a neat picture. Most of the credit goes to another one of my friends, Nathan. He calls it the SUPER CREEPER BATTLE SUIT. He is a Creative Mode Expert. He can put together the coolest stuff within a few hours of visualizing and building. Seriously, when you get him building, he doesn't stop for at least three hours. He did most of the building. I barely helped out. It turned out wonderful.

One of the cooler things I wanted to point out was that this may look pretty on the outside, but on the inside, it's a redstone mess. You may be able to see the dispensers in the little slots on the sides, those are activated all at once, by a lever on the back of the creeper's head. They fire arrows at rapid fire. The amazing thing is that he made this without mods, he just spent a day or so on it (yeah, like I said, he is a creative expert).

This next item is not made by any one of my friends, ore anyone I know, It's hilarious fan art. It's risky in the real Minecraft world, but I find it funny.
The Funny thing about this photo is that you can go and find a real creeper, and sure enough, the side of it's torso has a smiley face. I also want to point out, even though it apparently doesn't matter in this picture, that he struck out good on this mine. There's coal in the corner. I know it's not that big of a deal but you could mine it up for the levels and then through it somewhere else. There's redstone, which looks like it has to be deeper than that. And, there's  at least 5 visible diamonds. Even though diamonds aren't as good or important as friends. :) Plus, there has got to be something else besides coal, redstone, and diamonds in that room thing. It looks pretty big so there's probably some gold, iron, lapis, or emeralds in there.

That's all for now in the first Cubed post!
Tune in on certain Mondays for more Cubed!
